Me on other Podcasts
For the two of you who can’t get enough of listening to me, I’ll be helping out Cliff and Stephanie Ravenscraft over at GSPN.tv while they celebrate their first year of doing podcasting full time by doing a 24 hour podcast marathon. They have some really great podcasts and I listen to a good number of them. I’d suggest checking out their ever growing lineup of podcasts. There is going to be something for everyone there, I promise.
Anyway, I’ll be on from 4pm to 5pm (EST) on December 31st. The first half hour I’ll be interviewed for the GSPN Community Voices podcast and the second half hour I’ll be co-hosting the Help, I got a Mac podcast. To see the full schedule of who will be on when, visit gspn.tv/live.
Our 50th Show contest
So far our contest has been a complete bust. We have only had two people enter the contest. Malky and I thought it may be a good idea for a post with the ways to enter the contest.
- Write a review in iTunes – We like reviews in iTunes. All you need to do is follow the link (that will start iTunes) and then click on the “Write a Review” link. You know that you’ve wanted to do it, why not take 5 minutes out at write one.

Making the switch
Working from home is has a lot of benefits and I really enjoy it for the most part. One of the annoying things about it however is that our DSL connection is slow on the upload side of things and that really limits the quality of my phone calls (I’m using Vonage for my office line). In addition to that recording Skype interviews (like the one we have coming up for episode 39) have become really difficult to do since we keep loosing the connection.
That is why yesterday I decided to make the switch over to cable and move away from DSL. In theory the connection is 15 times faster than my current connection (15MB/sec vs. 1.5MB/sec) and the uploads are pretty speedy as well (2MB/sec vs. 786kB/sec). The best part is that it will only be $10 more per month after the special is over in 6 months. Short of getting FIOS, this is the best internet connection out there.
