Aaron and Malky are a couple from Brooklyn, NY in their thirties experiencing secondary infertility. Married in August 1993, tried to conceive “first time around” for 4 years, first pregnancy with medical assistance (Clomid/IUI) occurred in Nov. 1997 resulting in stillborn baby girl at 9 months gestation in Aug. 1998 – cause unknown (suspected cord accident).
Sept. 1999 – second pregnancy, natural conception, resulting in daughter Rivky born in June 2000.
TTC – second time around for over 6 years, 2.5 on our own, 4 years with medical assistance. Started podcast “The Second Time Around” in August 2006 about infertility. The podcast has been renamed “Infertility Podcast and Blog”.
Jan. 2007 – 3rd pregnancy (using injectable meds) resulting in miscarriage at 7 weeks.
August 2008 – Husband undergoes varicocele surgery.
Currently on break and emotionally exploring what we want to do next – continue with additional treatment or just keep trying naturally.
Hey there! I love your show. Pay Ruth and John another 5cents cuz I found your podcast via their podcast. I have a request. I was wondering if you can go through the various steps of infertility treatments I may go through. I went to my Doctor with three months worth of charts and she simply said "oh, your not ovulating, I'll prescribe Clomid". At which point I told her I'd have to think about it because I wanted to first tell my husband and second decide together which way we would proceed (yes, I was a bit mifted). Anyhow, after listening to your podcast and "Relax…" I was wondering if you could give me the run down on treatments.
We have a beautiful 4yr old daughter concieved "normally" (we now refer to her as the miracle child). And have been trying since April to get preggers.
