My blogging elsewhere

I’m not sure how many of our readers out there follow baseball, but for the past month or so I have been a blogger over at MVN blogging about the Pittsburgh Pirates. If you like baseball and want to get my perspective (and the perspective of my fellow co-bloggers) then feel free to visit our site.

Happy New Year to everyone! This episode has a heart to heart conversation with listener, Stephanie. Plus a special feature “how to write a review in the iTunes Store”

Deal or no deal

Did anyone watch “Deal or No Deal” on NBC last night? The women with the sextuplets is none other than the Jenny Masche - one of the couples that were expecting sextuplets that we spoke about last year. The babies are now 6 months old and all in good health. It’s a small world after all!

Malky will most likely kill me for posting this…

but it’s like I haven’t been in trouble before.

Cindy Margolis has come out with a book about infertility. It’s a press release so your milage may vary.

We actually tried to get her on the podcast (I tried, Malky was less than thrilled) to talk with her about the book, but her press people were less than helpful.

Yet another reason to quit smoking

Check out the latest study about how smoking before and after pregnancy might reduce ones daughter’s fertility by as much as two-thirds.

How cruel it is…

Does everyone feel the same way that I do? Why are PMS and early pregnancy signs so similar? Couldn’t a better system be set up that if we are not meant to get pregnant this month we should have no symptoms that mock early pregnancy. That’s the least we can ask for don’t you think?

How are your PMS symptoms and do you feel like they make a fool of you each month making you believe that maybe this time it’s early pregnancy signs?

UK trying to stop multiple births issue

One of the concerns of IVF, or really any technologically assisted pregnancy, is the concern of having multiples. This is hazardous for both the mother and the babies as well. Well in the UK there is a organization that is looking to help make sure that this issue is a thing on the past.

This can only be a good thing.

Followup on our Femara discussion

I just found this news article on an updated study comparing Clomid to Femara in regards to birth defects. The news looks good on Femara’s safety.

Episode 33 - The Femera Fenomenon

Malky and I bid everyone Holiday tidings. We also deliver some news, give opinion on said news items. We also talk in depth about Femera and what its pros and cons are.

If that’s not enough, we also officially announce our next contest. And this one is drop dead simple. All you have to do in write us a review in the iTunes Store and you are entered to win a copy of the book “I Am More Than My Infertility

The mantle is passed

Fans of The Wheel of Time series, we have had our sorrow but now it is time that we rejoice. There has been an author selected for the final book, A Memory of Light and his name is Brandon Sanderson. Mr. Sanderson has written several books already (although I have not read any of them, yet) and is a fan of the WoT series.

The book will be published in Sept of 2009 with a manuscript ready about this time next year. Dragonmount (the leading site for Wheel of Time info) has an interview that they did with the new author shortly after the announcement was public.

From what I have read, I think that the final book is going to be in good hands. Although it won’t be the same as if Mr. Jordan would have been able to do it, I think that the spirit will be there.
