First UK births using IVM

These twins are the first babies born in the UK using IVM - In Vitro Maturation - which involves extracting still-dormant eggs from the ovaries and maturing them in a laboratory Petri dish. Notice the size of the babies one nearly 6 pounds and one nearly 7 pounds. Pretty impressive.

This is your MacBook, this is your MacBook on eBay

I’ve decided to put my MacBook up for sale on eBay. Why is Aaron doing this you might ask yourself? Well as much as a Mac fan that I am, I have a new laptop from work and I think that I’ll be using that a majority of the time. “But Aaron!”, I hear you say, “what kind of computer would make you give up on your MacBook?”. The answer is quite simple, my job gave me a MacBook Pro. As a result I have an extra laptop and Malky and I agreed that we should sell the MacBook (although I wanted her to use it).

So if you like a great laptop with the best operating system around* then you should bid on the MacBook. Or you can even buy it now! How convenient is that? :)

8 things about Malky

So I think I’ll join the infertility bloggers and try to come up with 8 things about me that you might not know yet. I’m new at this kind of thing but I’ll give it a go:

1. I’m a night owl and Aaron’s a morning person. Aaron would much prefer that I’d be more like him. It causes some contention between us.

2. I’m the second to oldest of 6 siblings but have always felt like I was the oldest. I was labeled “The responsible one”.

3. If I only get to have 1 (live) child, I’m so happy I have a daughter. I love girls!

4. I prefer to talk with one friend at a time verses a group of friends.

5. I’d rather have a few good friends than a lot of so-so friends.

6. My sisters are my closest friends.

7. I was valedictorian in grade school despite having struggled academically in the early grades due to the fact that I changed schools a few times when my parents divorced.

8. I really enjoy podcasting and feel that it has helped boost my confidence.

Like SaraS-P, I tag anyone who hasn’t written 8 things about themselves yet.

Update for Episode 30

Malky noticed (and those of you who have listened to the show may have noticed it as well) that the last 5 minutes of the podcast was silence. I have fixed that problem and you can download the mp3 file here. Just right mouse click on the link and select download file as…, or save file as…

Personally I thought that with the silence, it was the best five minutes that we ever did :)

A New Coat of Paint

You may notice a new look of the blog. Malky and I decided that the old look which was by design a very minimalist approach needed to be revamped. Hence the reason for extreme make overs, blog edition. We hope that you enjoy the new look. Feel free to leave comments and let us know what you think.
