In the middle of using my iPod last night it got the dreaded clicking hard drive of death and then proceeded to die on me. I am in the middle of a really bad streak of luck and quite frustrated as a result. I guess that on Monday I’ll need to head over to a Apple Store and see about getting this sucker fixed.
Then you are in luck, there is another one coming out, this time in Punic and staring that well known thespian Vin Diesel. Vin will be playing Hannibal and the movie’s title will be very original “Hannibal the Conqueror”. (hat tip to PaleoJudica)
I’m not the worlds biggest expert on acting, but I have a feeling that this is going to be very painful to watch.
It’s amazing how things work out for the best. As I mentioned in my last post, I had an offer to go and watch the Giants play the Saints in tremendous seats. I had to turn down the seats because we had scheduled surprise birthday party for my mother since it is her birthday today (it wouldn’t have been much of a surprise if we made it on her birthday). Anyhoo, it looks like the game was a real stinker yesterday and I didn’t miss much by not going. As for the party, it was fun and we all had a good time. I took some pictures and I hope to post them later today.
A good friend of mine called me last night. He received field level seats for the Giant’s game on Sunday and he scored field passes for before the game as well. Since I had never been on the field before I wanted to go to this game very badly. There was only one problem with that. We are making a surprise birthday party for my Mom on Sunday afternoon. She is turning 60 and we want to make it a big deal. Logistically there is no way that I would be able to make it to New Jersey for the game and then back to my mom’s house in time for the party. Of course with news like this a decision had to be made right away, and a decision I made.
I did the right thing and told my friend that I would not be able to make it since I already had this scheduled. Oh the sacrifices one makes for their family!

Rivky got her first honest to goodness report cards this week (one for Hebrew studies and one for English studies) and I am happy to report that her grades were very good. Not only that but the teachers had some very nice things to say about Rivky in the comments sections of the report cards as well.
OK, I’m done bragging now.
