It’s a Frappr-chino

The good news is that we now have a frappr map for the listeners of the podcast. Not only can you see where other listeners are from, but you can use it for when you are drunk and don’t remember where you live. :) If you have any other uses for a frappr map leave a comment.

A Belated Introduction

As you may have noticed, there is a new blogger in the ranks here at benedictfamily.org, none other than my lovely wife and co-host of The Second Time Around Malky Benedict. I hope that you enjoy reading another perspective.

The freezer is working

So after all that, the repairman came today and we now have a working freezer. What a joy.

Episode #2 - desperately seeking doctors

We discuss guidelines of when to seek medical help for infertility, the fact that couples feel that there all alone in this when they’re not, the importance of finding the right doctor for you and ways to go about doing that. Comments or show suggestions email us: podcast@benedictfamily.org or leave a comment on our blog: www.benedictfamily.org

Deep Freeze

Here is a little update on the freezer situation which I mentioned in an earlier post. The company which makes the freezer decided that it was worth it for them to try a new compressor again and have a repair person come back to the apartment and see if they can get it to work. This time they also sent an additional part along with the compressor. The repair person is coming on Wedensday to replace the compressor so we shall see how that works out.

Malky also spoke to her brother in law about the whole situation and he told her that he will replace it should the compressor not work. In spite of this situation (it’s just another reason not to buy things from Family) my brother in law is a good guy and very stand up and I should have gone to him about this in the first place, but I am loathe to do so since I hate taking advantage of a situation where I have some inside pull. I’m glad that Malky went that route so at least we have a plan B to fall back to if this new compressor doesn’t work.

Episode #1 - Intro

It’s Go Time

As I mentioned in a previous post, Malky and I have been thinking of putting together a podcast that deals with the issues of infertility. This weekend, we decided to green light the project and we’ll be coming out with episode 1 later this week. The title that we have right now is “The Second Time Around - A couple’s guide to primary and secondary infertility”. I am in the process of setting up the site for the show and it will be found here. I have to admit that I’m excited about setting up the site since I will now have a chance to mess around with iWeb and see how that will work. From the little that I have worked with it so far, it looks like it will do the trick quite nicely.

There are couple podcasts out there that talk about the subject but most of them deal with the single persons emotions and experiences. What we are attempting to do is going to be different since we will be focusing on issues and we hope to have guests from time to time as well.

Not to sound too pedantic, but at least I would like to be a conduit for every one else out there and so if you have anyone that you think would make a good guest or issues that would would like to hear about feel free to leave comments. Malky and I thank those who left comments in the previous post.
